May Festival 22-25 May 09 at
Plumpton Racecourse
We will not be attending May Camp with F-Cubed members this year so will
miss the chance to experience the thrills & spills of the Diocesan May Festival at
Plumpton Racecourse.
We have taken a group from F-Cubed over the past few years and all have had a
great time.
What is it?
The May Festival is a camp to bring together young Christians from parishes
around the diocese to worship, make friends and have fun. In other words it’s
all about what F- Cubed is about –
Faith, Fellowship & Fun.
So what happens?
The Festival is arranged by the YES team at Church House and it also has youth
members actively involved in organising the event. This year’s theme is
“Unity”.
as well as a repeat of the social action afternoon on the Saturday (which we did
for the first time last year) and the opportunity for your group to go to the “
Big
Church Day Out” event being held at Wiston on the Sunday – an ecumenical
chance to recognise the unity of the wider church!
On the Saturday afternoon, older youth (14+) have the opportunity to take part
in some social action projects Social Action Activities: Acts of kindness to the
community which might include
gardening, car washing, sports, visiting the elderly. All material and necessary
safety equipment will be supplied and checked as needed (eg, gloves for
gardening)
